Elysian is a citrus eau de parfum built on bergamot, lavender and lemon, moving through coriander, sage and jasmine, settling on cedarwood and musk. Clean and crisp at the top, warm and grounded underneath.
Unisex, blended in Melbourne, 10ml. The most wearable fragrance in theRenaissance range for anyone who wants clean rather than sweet.
About Elysian
Citrus fragrance has one persistent problem. It smells excellent for half an hour and then it is gone.
Elysian is built to get around that. The opening is a citrus accord rather than a single note, bergamot, lavender and lemon together. Bergamot brings a floral edge that lemon on its own does not have. Lavender adds a herbal, slightly powdery quality. Lemon is the bright zest over the top.
The heart is where it gets interesting. Coriander brings a dry spice, sage brings something green and savoury, and jasmine softens both. That combination keeps Elysian from reading as a straightforward cologne.
Then cedarwood and musk take over the base and the fragrance stops being citrus at all. It becomes warm, dry and close to the skin, which is exactly what a fresh citrus perfume needs if it is going to last past lunch.
This is the one to reach for at work. Clean, crisp, unmistakably a fine fragrance, and not loud enough to annoy anyone in a meeting room.
Blended in Melbourne with fine fragrance oils, IFRA certified, cruelty free, in a 10 ml bottle. Available with the rest of the range in thediscovery set.
Scent Notes
Top:Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon
Heart:Coriander, Sage, Jasmine
Base:Cedarwood, Musk
Reading the Notes
Bergamot— a vibrant citrus with a delicate floral undertone, sharper and more rounded than lemon alone.
Lavender— herbal and softly floral, giving the opening a dry, powdery edge.Lemon— bright, zesty and immediate. The clearest citrus note in the blend.Coriander— a dry, faintly peppery spice that stops the heart turning soapy.Sage— green and savoury, adding an aromatic backbone.
Jasmine— a soft white floral that rounds the spice and links the top to the base.Cedarwood— warm, dry and woody, giving the fragrance its grounded finish.Musk- skin-close and soft. The note that carries Elysian through the day.
How to Use
Spray onto pulse points where the skin is warm: inner wrist, base of the throat, behind the ear. Do not rub your wrists together, citrus top notes are the first to break.
Two sprays is usually enough. Store the bottle upright, out of direct sunlight and away from heat, since citrus blends are the most sensitive to light.
