Haven is a woody eau de parfum built around warmth. Bergamot opens it bright, jasmine and saffron sit at the heart, and cedarwood and sandalwood hold underneath for hours.
Unisex, blended in Melbourne, 10ml. It is the one people describe as a sunlit forest, and the one that layers best withVelurawhen you want something deeper still.
About Haven
A good woody fragrance has to earn its warmth. Go too heavy on the base and it turns flat and smoky. Go too light and there is nothing left by mid-afternoon.
Haven opens on bergamot, bright and citrusy with a soft floral edge underneath. That fades into jasmine and saffron, which is where the fragrance gets its character. Saffron gives it a warm, slightly leathery depth that keeps the jasmine from reading as a
straightforward floral.
Then the base arrives and stays. Cedarwood brings a dry, grounded warmth. Sandalwood softens it into something creamier and rounder. Together they are what makes this a long lasting woody perfume rather than a fragrance that disappears by lunch.
It wears well in cooler weather and holds its shape in the heat. Common among men who want a warm woody perfume without anything sharp, and equally common among women who find most florals too sweet.
Blended in Melbourne with fine fragrance oils, IFRA certified, cruelty free, in a 10ml bottle that travels. Part of theRenaissance luxury perfumerange.
Scent Notes
Top:Bergamot
Heart:Jasmine, Saffron
Base:Cedarwood, Sandalwood
Reading the Notes
Bergamot— a bright citrus with a delicate floral undertone. It gives the opening its lift.
Jasmine— a rich white floral that carries the middle of the fragrance without turning sweet.
Saffron— warm and faintly leathery. This is the note that makes Haven distinctive rather than generic.
Cedarwood— dry, grounded, woody. The backbone of the base.
Sandalwood— creamy and smooth, rounding off the cedarwood so the finish is soft rather than sharp.
How to Use
Spray onto pulse points where the skin is warm: inner wrist, base of the throat, behind the ear. Do not rub your wrists together, it crushes the bergamot before it opens.
Two sprays is usually enough. Store the bottle upright, out of direct sunlight and away from heat, so the blend holds its character.
