Forest Hues is a woody musk candle that opens with cardamom and nutmeg, moves through a violet heart and settles into a deep, earthy musk base. Warm and spiced at the start, grounding and quiet by the end - the candle in the Renaissance range for people who want their space to feel like somewhere they actually want to stay.
Hand-poured in Melbourne, 200g natural soy wax, FSC certified wood wick. The earthy candle for rooms that face the evening.
About Forest Hues
Not every room needs brightness. Some rooms need weight.
Forest Hues is the candle for those rooms. Where most of the Renaissance range opens with citrus or fruit, Forest Hues opens with spice - cardamom and nutmeg, warm and slightly sharp, the kind of opening that makes a room feel considered before you have sat down. The violet in the heart adds a soft, powdery floral note that keeps the spice from becoming too heavy, pulling the fragrance toward something quieter as the burn deepens.
The musk base is where Forest Hues settles and stays. Earthy, warm and deeply grounding - the kind of musk that does not announce itself but changes how a room feels over the course of an evening. Woody undertones give it texture, a depth that most soy candles do not reach.
This is the warm autumn candle that does not belong only to autumn. It suits winter evenings, slow Sunday mornings, home offices where you want the air to feel settled rather than bright. People who gravitate toward earthy, grounding scents tend to find this one and stay with it.
The 200g ceramic burns with an FSC certified wood wick that crackles softly - a sound that suits this fragrance in particular - and creates a wide, even melt pool so the cardamom and musk carry across the room. Developed in-house by founders Suji and Jeeva, IFRA certified and cruelty free, poured by hand in Melbourne.
Scent Notes
Top: Cardamom, Nutmeg Heart: Violet Base: Earthy Musk
Reading the Notes
Cardamom — warm, aromatic and slightly sweet with a spiced edge. It opens Forest Hues with the kind of depth that signals this is not a light fragrance, without being aggressive about it.
Nutmeg — woody and warm alongside the cardamom, adding a subtle spice that reinforces the earthy character of the opening without tipping into seasonal-only territory.
Violet — soft and slightly powdery in the heart. It sits between the warm spice opening and the earthy musk base, keeping the candle from reading as purely woody and giving it a quiet, unexpected delicacy.
Earthy Musk — the base note that defines Forest Hues. Deep, grounding and persistent, it is what remains in a room long after the candle has been snuffed and what makes this a musk soy candle worth returning to.
How to Use
Burn Forest Hues for at least two hours on the first light. This gives the melt pool time to reach the edges of the ceramic and sets the burn pattern for every use after that.
Trim the wick to around 5mm before each burn. Wood wicks occasionally need the charred tip snapped off before relighting - this keeps the flame steady and the crackle consistent.
Store the candle away from direct sunlight between burns to hold the fragrance.
