About Velura 

Gourmand fragrance has a reputation problem. Done badly it smells like a bakery, or worse, like a body spray from 2004. 

Velura takes a different route in. It opens on juniper berry, which is crisp and resinous rather than sweet, closer to gin than to sugar. That opening buys the fragrance room to warm up without cloying. 

Nutmeg follows, spiced and rounded, bridging the crisp start and what comes next. Then creamy vanilla arrives and settles over musk, and this is where Velura earns its name. Soft, warm, close to the skin. Not sugary. Velvety.

Spray onto pulse points where the skin is warm: inner wrist, base of the throat, behind the ear. Do not rub your wrists together, it crushes the juniper berry opening. 

Two sprays is usually enough, since the musk base carries. Store the bottle upright, out of direct sunlight and away from heat, so the blend holds its character.
