Wooden Wick Candle Care Tips

1. Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the wooden wick to about 1/8 inch (3-4 mm) to ensure a clean and even burn. This prevents the flame from getting too high and smoking.
2. Initial Burn: Allow the candle to burn for 2-3 hours during its first use, or until the wax melts evenly across the surface. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn in the future.
3. Relighting the Wick: If the wick becomes difficult to light, remove any charred wood gently with a wick trimmer or your fingers. This helps maintain a strong flame.
4. Avoid Drafts: Keep the candle away from drafts, fans, or open windows to prevent uneven burning and soot buildup.
5. Burn Time: Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to solidify before relighting to ensure the best performance.
6. Extinguishing the Flame: Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame instead of blowing it out. This reduces smoke and preserves the fragrance.
7. Safety First: Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from flammable objects, children, and pets.

Additional Tips

1. Storage: Store candles in a cool, dark place to maintain their fragrance and prolong their life.
2. Wax Care: If the candle develops a memory ring, wrap aluminum foil around the top edge and let it burn for a few hours to even out the wax.
