The Asana Meditation candle is a mindfulness candle built around peppermint, mandarin and rosewood. Cool and citrus-bright at the open, warm and grounding by the base. A focus candle that clears the room before a meditation practice and holds the space through it.
Hand-poured in Melbourne, natural soy wax, FSC certified wood wick. The meditation candle in the Asana collection for people who use scent to signal the start of something intentional.
About the Meditation candle
A meditation candle does one thing well or it does not work at all. It has to change the room without demanding attention.
The Asana Meditation candle opens with peppermint and spearmint, cool and clear, the kind of opening that sharpens a room rather than warming it. This is deliberate. The mint opening signals a shift — from whatever was happening before to something quieter and more focused. Mandarin sits alongside it, adding a citrus brightness that stops the mint from reading as harsh or medicinal and gives the fragrance a warmth that makes it easier to settle into rather than just notice.
Rosewood and cedarwood carry the base, woody and warm, grounding the cool mint opening and giving the candle the depth it needs to hold through a full meditation session rather than fading after the first twenty minutes. The transition from mint to wood is gradual rather than abrupt, which is what keeps this from feeling like two different candles in one burn.
The effect is a room that feels clear. Not empty. Focused. The kind of air that makes it easier to sit still, which is the whole point.
This is the clarity candle for a practice space, a home office where you need to concentrate or a quiet corner where you return to yourself at the end of a day. Light it before you begin. The room will be ready before you are.
The FSC certified wood wick crackles softly as it burns. In a meditation space, that sound is part of the environment. Developed in-house by founders Suji and Jeeva, IFRA certified, cruelty free, poured by hand in Melbourne. Part of the Asana collection, drawn from yoga traditions and the principles of mindful living.
Scent notes
Top: Peppermint, Spearmint, Mandarin Heart: Rosewood Base: Cedarwood
Reading the notes
Peppermint — cool and clear in the opening. The note that signals a shift in the room and gives the Meditation candle its initial clarity. Not sharp or medicinal at this concentration, just clean and present.
Spearmint — softer than peppermint, sitting alongside it in the opening to round the mint character and keep it from reading as a single-note fragrance.
Mandarin — bright and citrusy, the note that warms the mint opening and stops the fragrance from feeling cold. It sits between the mint top and the rosewood heart, giving the candle a middle phase that holds the two together.
Rosewood — warm and woody in the heart, the transition between the cool opening and the cedarwood base. It gives the Meditation candle a softness through the middle of the burn that keeps the fragrance from feeling stark.
Cedarwood — dry and grounding in the base. The note that holds the mint and rosewood above it and gives this mindfulness candle its staying power through a long practice.
How to use
Light the Meditation candle five to ten minutes before your practice begins. The mint and mandarin opening builds quickly in a room, and giving it a little lead time means the fragrance is present when you sit down rather than still developing.
Burn for at least two hours per session to get a full melt pool and the best fragrance throw. Trim the wood wick to around 5mm before each burn. Snap off any charred tip before relighting to keep the crackle consistent.
Store the candle away from direct sunlight between uses.
